Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhenaidah Mozibor Rahman along with a number of government officials and local union parishad chairman on Tuesday visited the Sharabaria housing project in Kaliganj upazila of Jhenaidah built for the poor from Prime Minister’s housing fund.
The sudden visit was paid when someone had brought allegation that there was crack in the wall of the houses.
DC said he along with additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Selim Reza, newly joined upazila nirbahai officer (UNO) Sadia Jarin, assistant commissioner (AC) Land Bhupali Sarker and chairman of Kola union parishad Ayub Hossain had paid a sudden visit to witness the crack as alleged. Later he had distributed food assistances among all the five family members when they were caught in the strict lockdown following global havoc corona virus.
UNO Sadia Jarin when contacted said although there was allegation of crack on the newly constructed walls, they witnessed a negligible erase on a wall which was repaired immediately after the information.
The deputy commissioner than distributed food assistance among the inmates to remove their sufferings as they were caught in the continuous strict lockdown following the pandemic corona virus, Sadia Jarin added.
