A total of 175 landless and homeless people of Chuadanga district will receive 175 homes at second phase of Ashrayan project through video program on Sunday (June 20).
The programme is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chuadanga Md Nazrul Islam Sarker disclosed this information before the local journalists at a press conference on Thursday. DC Md Nazrul Islam said that 134 landless and homeless people in Chuadanga district have already received keys of homes at first phase of Ashrayan project. They have been living there. In second phase, 175 people of four upazilas like Chuadanga Sadar, Alamdanga upazila, Damurhuda upazila and Jibannagar upazila will get the keys of homes and take the possession of their houses.
DC Md Nazrul Islam also added that out of 1132landless and homeless people in the district, a total of 353 people have been taken under the projects and individual initiatives and rest 778 people will be provided home facilities gradually by the government. Monira Parvin, ADC (general) was present at the press conference on the day.
