Relief materials of the district administration have been handed over to thousands of poor and indigent families. The relief items were distributed under the leadership of Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman.
Besides, they were paid Tk 1 lakh 3 thousand in cash. The relief items were distributed by the district administration on Friday afternoon at the gymnasium ground adjacent to the MA Aziz Stadium in the city.
Each of them got 7 kg of rice, 1 kg of pulses, 1 liter of soybean oil, 2 kg of potatoes, 1 soap
The Deputy Commissioner said, "We have started distributing relief since last Wednesday under the direction of Hon'ble Prime Minister."
After that, relief was given to some distressed people by going from house to house. Relief was given to 300 families last Thursday.
“We have adequate relief stocks,” he said. Every day we will distribute relief to the poor and helpless people. Following this, relief materials were handed over to about thousand of poor and indigent families at the gymnasium ground adjacent to MA Aziz Stadium in the city on Friday afternoon at the initiative of Chittagong district administration.
