Bogura Detective Branch of Police arrested five drug dealers with 230 bottles of Phensedyl conducting separate operations in Bogura town on Sunday early morning.
Police conducted the operation at different places in Bogra on Sunday morning. A case has been filed with Bogra Sadar Police Station in these incidents.
Bogura Detective Branch of Police OC Aslam Ali said, 140 bottles of Phensedyl were found hidden beside the driver's seat while searching a private car traveling from Dinajpur to Dhaka at Matidali Biman More in Bogura.
At that time DB members arrested Zakirul Islam Johnny, 33, son of Mozammel Haque of Dhalihar village under Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur.
Earlier, DB men raided Saju Hotel at Charmatha area in Bogura and arrested 3 drug dealers named Ekramul, 43, Rebecca, 36, and Rima, 26, with 60 bottles of Phensedyl while another women named Rubina Begum, 40, was arrested along with 30 bottles of Phensedyl from PTI More in Bogura.
Bogura Additional Superintendent of Police Sanatan Chakraborty said separate cases have been registered against the arrestees with Bogura Sadar Police Station. He added, the anti-drug campaign would continue in future as well.
