A daylong workshop on food safety was held in Kotchandpur of Jhenaidah on Monday. Jointly organized by capacity building project of Bangladesh safe food authority and the ministry of food, Bangladesh safe agriculture efforts foundation (BSAF) initiated the workshop at Kotchandpur girls high school hall room.
Presided over by Kotchandpur girls high school headmaster Ishahaque Ali, upazilanirbahi officer (UNO) Uchen May attended the workshop as the chief guest, while district safe food officer in JhenaidahSadhan Sarker attended as the special guest. Shahjahan Ali Bipash facilitated the event. A total of 180 participants including students, teachers, school management committee members among others participated in the workshop. UNO Uchen May in her speech as the chief guest said each and all children and guardians is not enough aware of the safe food which they have been intaking every day.
Only intaking the safe food and awareness about health and hygiene might help ensure a healthy nation with sound health when the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been marching towards the smart country within a few years.
