Day-labourer Bablu Mia (50) was electrocuted in Ulipur Upazila. Bablu was killed while he was cutting a branch of a tree on Friday.
The incident occurred at Bodlipara Village in Kurigram Poura area. Bablu was the son of late Erabat Ali. He was a father of three children.
Police and family members informed that Bablu went to cut a branch of a Eucaliptus tree at neighbor Ataur Rahman’s house. At that time, he was suddenly electrocuted and was hanging there. Being informed Ulipur Fire Service and Civil Defence came and brought him down.
A UD (unnatural death) case has been filed in this regard. The body was buried as there was no complaint from the victim’s family.
