Cycle procession begins marking Mujib Barsho

The BSF Friendship Cycle Rally was inaugurated at Nomansland at Benapole on Monday afternoon to further strengthen India-Bangladesh friendship on the occasion of Mujib Barsho.

The bicycle rally was inaugurated by BSF Additional Director General (East) Pankaj Kumar Singh. BGB Deputy Director General Brigadier General Zakir Hossain was present on behalf of Bangladesh at the inauguration ceremony. 

The 13-member BSF's bicycle rally began on Tuesday morning and will cover 4,097 km adjoining India-Bangladesh border and will end on March 17. At the beginning of the programme, BSF greeted the BGB officers with flowers. At this time the national anthems of the two countries were served. 

BSF IG Ashuni Kumar Singh, DIG Ajit Kumar and 49 BGB Commanding Officers Lt. Col. Selim Reza and Major Farooq inaugurated the event.
