Like other districts of Dhaka range, Gopalganj district police has started cyber crime monitoring cell in Gopalganj district. This has added a new dimension to the policing services provided to the people of Gopalganj.
Gopalganj Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration Abdur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media. He said the matter has already been uploaded on the official page of District Police, Gopalganj. Dear Gopalganj residents, the uploaded subject has been highlighted.
As per the instructions of Hon'ble DIG of Dhaka Range Habibur Rahman, Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell has been introduced in Gopalganj District Police as in every district of Dhaka Range. Police urge citizens to seek the help of the Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell to report any problems or complaints related to cyber crime or to take any advice related to cyber or IT directly. People can send complaint or receive advice in this regard through Facebook page or by direct phone or message to the official mobile number of Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell. The newly formed cell will ensure people-friendly policing services not only by receiving complaints or giving advice but also by providing awareness posts on the Facebook page of the regular Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell or by sharing various initiatives related to cyber crime prevention of Bangladesh Police. Honorable IG of Bangladesh Police to implement the progress of the effort to ensure people-friendly policing. There is no alternative to technology based policing to implement the directives of Mr. Benazir Ahmed. The District Based Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell is the result of the initiative of Hon'ble DIG of Dhaka Range Habibur Rahman. In-charge of Cyber Crime Monitoring Cell is 1 Inspector level police member, also there are 2 Sub-Inspectors, 1 ASI and 1 Constable.
The cell will be active 24 hours a day to ensure public service.
The cell will conduct all its activities in compliance with a specific SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
