Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) achieved the 6th position among the universities of the country in the World University Ranking.
In the recently published ranking, CUET is positioned among the world's 1,001 to 1,200 universities. This list is published by Times Higher Education (THE). Regarding the published ranking, Professor Dr Md Abdur Rahman Bhuiyan, Director of CUET's Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), said the IQAC has been taking and implementing various initiatives throughout the year to enhance the quality of education and research. Our progress is reflected in this ranking. We are striving to advance further in the coming days.
Regarding this, Dr Sudip Kumar Pal, the interim responsible professor at CUET, said, this recognition from Times Higher Education will inspire us to move forward. We are making various efforts to maintain the continuity of progress in education and research. In particular, we have skilled teachers and world-class lab equipment to facilitate education and research in a conducive environment. I am optimistic that as a result of the regular training programs we conduct to enhance the skills of our teachers, we will achieve better scores in future world rankings.
