Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Officers Association was held on Wednesday afternoon.
CUET Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was the Chief Guest at the meeting held at the TSC auditorium on CUET campus.
The meeting was presided over by Engineer Syed Mohammad Ikram, President of the Officers Association. Mohammad Yusuf, General Secretary of the association was the keynote speaker at the meeting conducted by Kazi Shahed Hasan, Organizing Secretary of the Association.
The members of the association participated in the meeting following hygiene rules. The general secretary of the association presented the income and expenditure account of the past executive committee.
CUET Vice-Chancellor said, “Officials are one of the driving forces of a university. He praised the role of the officials in CUET's ongoing progress. He also assured that any reasonable demands and dues of the officials would be met if they were in accordance with the government rules”.
Meanwhile, an election commission was formed making Chief Engineer Md. Sirajul Islam the Chief Election Commissioner and Additional Registrar (Acting) Md. Nurul Huda, Election Commissioner to organize the next 2021-22 executive council elections.
