The foundation stone of several development works has been completed under the project titled ‘Development of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology’ as part of the infrastructural development of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).
CUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam inaugurated the foundation stone laying work on Tuesday morning.
The development works include a 10-storey residential building for professors, associate professors and equivalent officers, a 5-storey residential building for second class officers and 3rd class employees, a 10-storey assistant professor, lecturer and staff studio apartment and a 3-storey medical center building. Imam Hafez Maulana Kari Nurullah led the prayers at the CUET Central Mosque.
During the laying of the foundation stone, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof Dr Sunil Dhar, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar (Additional Responsibilities) Prof Dr Faruq-uz-Zaman Chowdhury, Director of Planning, Development (P&D) Department Prof Dr Kazi Delwar Hossain, Chief Engineer Md Sirajul Islam, Heads of various Departments of the University, Director, Faculty,
heads of various offices, heads of branches and other officers and employees.
