Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) campus of engineering for the academic year 2021-22 undergraduate first year/level-1 combined admission test of CUET, Kuet and Ruet has been completed very nicely and smoothly on Saturday. The admission test was held simultaneously in the respective university campuses from 10.00 am. 8 thousand 740 candidates in 'A' section and 737 in 'B' section participated in CUET center against 931 seats including reserved seats in this year's admission examination. Out of a total of 9 thousand 477 candidates, 7 thousand 576 were present in 'A' group and 1 thousand 901 candidates were absent i.e. the attendance rate in 'A' group is about 80 (79.93) percent. On the other hand, out of 737 examinees in group 'B', 523 were present and 214 were absent, i.e. the attendance rate in group 'B' is about 71 (70.96) percent. Incidentally, all the candidates of group 'A' and group 'B' appear for the examination of group 'A' simultaneously. However, not all candidates of 'A' group participate in 'B' group.
Meanwhile, CUET's honorable vice chancellor professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam visited various halls of CUET center at 10.30 am. At this time, the member of the central admission committee and the president of the local admission committee, Dean of CUET Civil Engineering Faculty. Md. Moinul Islam, Director of Student Welfare Prof Dr Md. Rezaul Karim and Registrar (Additional Duty) of CUET Dr. Farooq-uz-Zaman Chowdhury was present.
It is to be noted that this time the exam of 'A' group will be conducted from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm for two and a half hours and for 'B' group (freehand drawing) in the second phase from 12.45 pm to 1.45 pm continuously for one hour. Exams are held. Note that Group 'A' includes Engineering Departments and Town and Regional Planning Departments and Group 'B' includes Engineering Departments, Town and Regional Planning Departments and Architecture Departments. A total of 28 thousand 395 candidates participated in this year's admission exam, including 931 seats in CUET, 1065 seats in Kuwait and 1235 seats in Ruet against a total of 3231 seats.
