Chittagong University (CU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shirin Akhter visited the victims of the blast at BM Container Depot in Sitakunda.
Chittagong University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Shirin Akhter and Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Benu Kumar Dey visited Chittagong Medical College Hospital on Monday evening.
CU Proctor Dr. Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan, Assistant Proctor Arup Barua, Principal of Chittagong Medical College Prof. Dr. Sahana Akhter, Rangamati University of Science and Technology Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanchan Chakma were present on the occasion.
CU VC said that the students of Chittagong University rushed to donate blood after hearing the news of casualties in the container explosion. We gave them a bus to get to the hospital. Besides, Chittagong University students distributed food among the injured the day after the accident.
At the time, the CU Vice-Chancellor spoke to the doctors about the families and treatment of the injured. He wished speedy recovery to the injured.
