The new executive committee of Jalalabad Students' Association at Chittagong University (CU) was formed at general meeting on Wednesday. The general meeting of the organisation of Sylheti students was held on the campus.
Outgoing committee president Debashish Sarkar and general secretary Shamsuddin Ahmed Shimul were present in this meeting. Noyon Chandra Modak of Sanskrit Department was made President and Fazlay Alahi Nayem of Political Science Department was made general secretary of the association for 2019-2020 session.
The other office bearers of the committee are senior vice presidents Toufikul Islam Shimul and Abdullah Al Zafori, vice presidents Shourav Raza, Dhormendu Deb Nipun and Maisha Maliah, joint secretaries Mustafizur Rahman, Alomgir Hussain, Bodor Uddin and Rahul Sharma Raj, organising secretaries Tasmina Khanom, Shantonu Talukder, Mashrur Bin Arafat and Jubayer Ahmed, office secretary Onik Das, treasurer Najib Hasan Rishad, publicity secretary Forhad Oyesy, information and research secretary Sodiul Md Fahad, education and cultural secretary Mahbub A Rahman, sports secretary Kajal Das, students affairs secretary Sumena Khanm Sumi, appointment secretary Abu Sayed Tanvir, law and mass welfare secretary Iftekhar Mahi, mass communication and transport secretary Jafar Iqbal, students welfare secretary Roxy Dhar, religious secretary Habibullah Khaled, liberation war affairs secretary Dipakngkhar Das, social welfare secretary Tasnim Jahan Flora,and debate secretary Tanvir Mahbub Polash.
