Chattogram Zila Parishad distributed blankets among the needy, helpless and cold. Chattogram Zilla Parishad Chairman ATM Pearul Islam was present as the chief guest at Zila Parishad office on Thursday afternoon. Chief Executive Officer Shabbir Iqbal presided over the event.
ATM Pearul Islam said, poor and helpless people are suffering due to lack of winter clothes. Especially the sick and the elderly suffer more. Chattogram Zila Parishad initiative to distribute blankets for the suffering of helpless people. But all able-bodied people should come forward to alleviate the winter suffering of all the poor people. It is everyone's duty to stand in the service of distressed people to ease the suffering of winter.
Chattogram Zila Parishad Executive Officer Didarul Alam, Chattogram City Corporation Women Councillor Rumki Sen Gupta and Zila Parishad officers and employees were present.
It is known that blankets are being distributed by Chattogram Zila Parishad since the last week of last month to stand by the helpless cold weather. In continuation of this, blankets were handed over to various public representatives and organizations.
