Police in Chattogram have launched an awareness campaign to make people health consciousas the coronavirus infections rose suddenly.
Members of the city's Double Mooring Police Station took the initiative on Tuesday. Mohammad Mohsin, OC of Double Mooring Police Station, said, “Every day, masks are being distributed in public transports and at 60 spots in several areas under Double Mooring Police Station.” Besides the members of the police station and volunteers are also distributing masks to the common people in different places every day.
Two free masks are given by the policeto the people who wear masks. If anyone is found roaming without masks they are encouraged to wear masks and follow the health guidelines to avert the spread of coronavirus.
OC Mohsin said, “Our police personnel have started campaigning programmes to aware people to wear masks.” The free masks distribution programme will be continued for the next one month.
