CCC Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin provided financial assistance to 120 football players amid this Corona disaster on Saturday afternoon.
The aid was given to the football players at the initiative of the Football Players Welfare Association at CJKS Convention Hall in MA Aziz Stadium.
The mayor said, “The lives of the non-professional players have been made miserable as there are no sports today. The players, coaches and organizers have lost their livelihood.
But many of them have brightened the face of the nation by bringing national and international respect in the field of sports. But today their faces are dirty due to this pandemic. Of course, one day this disaster will be over. I don't know how long to wait for this. However, with this small initiative I am trying to help during this time of disaster”.
Panel Mayor Nisar Uddin Ahmed Monju, Councilor Shaibal Das Sumon, City AL unit Organizing Secretary Noman Al Mahmud, Sports Organizer Mashiul Alam Swapan and others were present on this occasion.
