Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury joined World Cities Summit-2024 in Singapore on Sunday.
A total of 94 mayors of municipalities and city corporations across the world took part in the summit.
Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development of Singapore, presided over the summit where the speakers highlighted on livable and sustainable city challenges, share integrated urban solutions and forge new partnerships.
Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and Gazipur City Corporation Jayeda Khatun also took part in the summit from Bangladesh.
The World Cities Summit is being held from 2 to 4 June in Singapore. This 3-day event comprises the main conference and other key events such as the WCS Mayors Forum, WCS Young Leaders Symposium, the Lee Kuan Yew World Prize Award Ceremony and Banquet, and an exhibition.
