Ten corona patients in Chattogram were identified in 24 hours from last Sunday night. Of the infected patients, 7 are from Chattogram district and 3 are from Lakshmipur district.
One police officer in the city's Dampara police line and 6 people in the same family in Rupnagar Madrasa area of Satkania were infected with corona. Chattogram Divisional Health Director Dr Hasan Shahriar Kabir confirmed the matter Sunday night.
He said corona was identified in 10 people after BITID tested 101 samples. Of those 7 persons were identified with corona in Chattogram district, while 3 persons were identified with corona in Laxmipur district.
Incidentally, BITID has so far tested 2542 samples of which 91 persons have been identified as corona patients, and out of 91 patients, 53 persons were identified as corona patients in Chattogram district; others were identified from different districts of Chattogram division. Besides, 5 people died of corona in Chattogram, and 12 people recovered.
