Chattogram Evercare Hospital, the largest hospital in the port city, has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing 100 cardiac surgeries. This achievement was announced during a press conference.
Dr. Asif Ahmed Bin Moin, Senior Consultant of the Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Department, shared details about the surgeries performed. He highlighted that 93 of the 100 surgeries were Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), with 1 CABG with AVR (Aortic Valve Replacement), 5 ASD (Atrial Septal Defect) closures, and 1 DVR (Mitral Valve Repair). Notably, all CABG procedures were performed by off-pump beating heart technique, and almost 80pc of these patients were having high risk left main coronary artery disease.
