The newly elected Executive Parishad-2023 of the Traditional Chattogram District Bar Association took charge through a grand ceremony.
Outgoing Parishad General Secretary AHM Ziauddin, newly elected General Secretary ASM Bazlur Rashid (Mintu) and newly elected General Secretary AHM Ziauddin spoke at the taking charge ceremony held on Thursday under the chairmanship of outgoing Parishad President freedom fighter Abu Mohammad Hashem and conducted by outgoing Parishad Deputy General Secretary Mohammad Ershadur Rahman (Ritu), President Nazim Uddin Chowdhury. Bangladesh Bar Association member ASM Badrul Anwar was present as a special guest, besides newly elected executive parishad senior vice president Mohammad Sekander Chowdhury, vice president Abdul Haque, joint general secretary Mohammad Imran, finance secretary Mosharraf Hoshain, library secretary Mohammad Fakhrul Islam, cultural editor Mohammad Khorshed Alam. Belal, Sports Secretary Md Omar Faruq, Information and Technology Secretary Oli Ahmad, Executive Members respectively Mohammad Jahed Hossain, Jamshed Alam, Md Iqbal Hossain, Md Saddam Hossain, Manzur Alam, Sajeda Begum (Saju), Israt Jahan Mukul, Minhaj. Uddin, Rana Mitra, Abida Sultana (Sharmin), Farzana Hakim Chowdhury, officers and members of outgoing council and learned lawyers including former president and general secretary of the association were present.
Newly elected President Nazim Uddin Chowdhury and General Secretary ASM Bajlur Rashid (Mintu) while assuming responsibility promised that they will do their best to fulfil all their responsibilities to protect the quality, dignity and interests of nearly six thousand lawyers regardless of party affiliation. He requested the cooperation of all the learned lawyers in this regard and called upon all the learned lawyers to work unitedly to establish the rule of law.
