Chattogram district administration has started a campaign to evict the risky and illegal occupants at various places in the hills on both sides of the Bayazid link road in the city.
The operation was launched on Monday morning by six executive magistrates of the district administration. Hathazari Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Executive Magistrate Sharif Ullah, Patenga Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land), Executive Magistrate Ehsan Murad are conducting the operation in HathazariUpazila.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Chandgaon Circle, Executive Magistrate Mamnoon Ahmed Anik, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kattli Circle, Executive Magistrate Muhammad Enamul Hasan are conducting the operation in Kattoli of the city.
Sitakunda Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Executive Magistrate Md Rashedul Islam, Chattogram Sadar Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land), Executive Magistrate Masuma Jannat are also conducting operations in Sitakunda part.
Chattogram District Administration Executive Magistrate Mamnoon Ahmed Anik said the decision to evict the risky hill settlements was taken at various places in the district from Monday at the Chattogram office of the Environment Department on June 9. We have started this activity by evicting on both sides of Bayazid link road. Eviction of dangerous settlements is underway.
The day-long operation will be conducted as per the instructions of the district administration.
