Chattogram deputy commissioner recovered government property worth ten crores of city. Panchlaish Thana East Nashirabad 15 satak lands under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Umar Faruq with the help of Panchlaish Thana SI Subra Mukul and the policemen recovered government property worth Tk 10 crore.
Property is in the name of Government of Bangladesh (as Government Property) on the unknown behalf of Neshar Ahmad in Khatian No. 629 with final BS survey. The Land Appellate Board ruled in favour of the government on June 20 this year.
Despite the verdict, the land robbers under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Umar Faruq took possession of the government land on Tuesday morning and hung up the sign board as government property after getting the news that the construction work was going on in the said land.
Ordered to remove the illegal construction materials. A developer company named Rajbari Holding Limited was constructing a structure at the site in defiance of the government order.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Umar Faruq said legal action will be taken against anyone who illegally encroaches on government land.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman said, we are active in recovering the government land. In the metropolis and upazilas of Chattogram district, abandoned and unoccupied areas are being recovered. We have recovered government land worth crores of rupees from land robbers. All concerned including AC land have been instructed to rescue government land from land grabbers.
