Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman inspected the Guman Mardan Ashrayan Project for the homeless in Hathazari. He distributed and inspected the Prime Minister's gift in Hathazari Ashrayan project on Sunday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Mominur Rahman said all the officials of the district administration have been involved in the whole process. The district is divided into several clusters and additional deputy commissioners are given responsibilities. The Chattogram district administration constructed and handed over a total of 2,216 houses in two phases by tackling various challenges.
A total of 26 houses including 15in first phase, 10in second phase and 1 in Bangladesh Administrative Service were constructed in Hathazari upazila.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shahidul Alam said the project has been implemented in time under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner. He has given various directions regarding the various facilities of this Ashrayan project.
Necessary steps will be taken in the near future to link the livelihoods of these 26 families with the nearest Growth Centers, he added.
