Ctg DC fines 9 filling stations for irregularities

Nine filling stations have been fined for various irregularities in Chittagong district administration's campaign.

Three executive magistrates led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman conducted mobile courts in different areas of the city on Wednesday from 3 pm to 7 pm.  9 filling stations have been fined 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees due to various irregularities, underweight, lack of necessary documents.

Kattoli Circle Assistant Commissioner (Lands) and Executive Magistrate Umar Faruq conducted raids at 2 No. Gate and Chandgaon area and collected Tk 10,000 from Khan and Brothers, Tk 10,000 at Fossil Petrol Pump, Tk 20,000 at Karnafhuli Filling Station, Bakaliya, Tk 10,000 at Mir Filling Station, Bakaliya. A total of 50 thousand taka was fined.

On the other hand, Chandgaon Circle Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Masud Rana raided Nasirabad and promoter areas of the city and fined Alhaj Faiz Ahmed & Sons Tk 10,000, Badsha Mia Filling Station Tk 10,000 total Tk 20,000.

 Executive Magistrate Plabon Kumar Biswas conducted raids in Hakkani Tigerpass, DT Road, Pahartali and Akbarshah areas and imposed a fine of Tk 50,000 on refueling station Unit-1 and Tk 40,000 on Noor-A Madina CNG filling station.

Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman said that due to complaints about selling at a higher price than the fixed price, giving less weight, not having a license, and the quality of fuel oil, a mobile court was conducted today in various filling stations of the city and fined in view of various irregularities.  No-objection letter from the office, license from Explosives Department and Environment Department are required but it can be seen that many people do not have the required documents.  As a result of which they are fined. We will continue such operations.
