Chattogram District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Elias Chowdhury inaugurated tree plantation programme in the area adjacent to Chattogram Civil Surgeon office with the aim of increasing the tree resources and preserving the balance of the environment. Meanwhile, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Elias Chowdhury said that it is important for everyone to plant more trees to protect the environment. Plantation creates a reservoir of oxygen in the environment. So urge everyone to plant saplings of different species of fruit, forest, herb, medicinal and other plants in every empty space.
Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Md. Wazed Chowdhury Abhi, Medical Officer Dr. Nurul Haider, Dr. Naushad Khan, District Health Supervisor Sujan Barua, health and family planning officers of all upazilas of Chattogram attended the tree planting program.
