The month-long Chattogram International Trade Fair (CITF) is set to begin on May 31 (Tuesday) at the city's Pologound ground after a two-year shutdown due to the Corona pandemic.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will inaugurate the fair. With the participation of more than 310 organizations
India, Thailand, Iran will showcase products in the 29th edition of the fair covering an area of 4 lakh square feet.
Chattogram Chamber President Mahbubul Alam said this at a press conference at the Bangabandhu Conference Hall of the World Trade Center in Agrabad on Sunday.
Chamber President said that more than 310 companies with 17 premier pavilions, 33 premier stalls, 99 gold stalls, 48 mega stalls, 14 food stalls and 2 separate zones will participate in this fair.
The open plaza will be 12,320 square feet. The children's recreation center will be 3 thousand square feet. Bangabandhu Pavilion will be in the fair with the help of lighthouse.
The ticket price has been fixed at Tk 15 per person. There will be free admission for 7th class students
from Play.
He said there will be Bangabandhu Pavilion in the fair with the help of lighthouse. India, Thailand, Iran will showcase various products along with domestic products at the 4 lakh square feet fair.
The open plaza will be 12,320 square feet. The children's recreation center will be 3 thousand square feet. The fair will run every day from 10 am to 10 pm. Tickets are 15 rupees per person. Free tickets are available for 7th grade students from Play.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will inaugurate the fair on the afternoon of May 31. MP MA Latif, CCC Mayor Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir, FBCCI President Md. Jasim Uddin are expected to be present.
Senior Vice President of the Chamber and CITF Adviser Tarafdar Md. Ruhul Amin, Director of the Chamber Zahirul Islam Chowdhury Alamgir, Ahid Siraj Chowdhury Swapan, Iftekhar Faisal, Nasir Alam Fahim, Anjan Shekhar Das were present at the press conference.
