Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry is distributing masks to create 'No Mask, No Service' awareness among traders and general public to prevent the second wave of global epidemic Corona infection in the port city.
Chamber President Mahbubul Alam, Director Md. AhidSiraj Chowdhury (Swapan), Syed Mohammad Tanvir, Chamber Secretary Engineer Mohammad Faruq and officials distributed masks in front of the World Trade Center in Agrabad on Thursday afternoon.
Director of Chamber and Clifton Group Md. Mohiuddin Chowdhury presented these masks for distribution to the Chamber. The masks have already been sent by the chamber to various markets and shopping malls in the city for distribution through their respective associations With the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr looming, the number of shoppers flocking to various shopping malls and shopping malls will encourage everyone to wear masks and adhere to hygiene rules through the chamber's awareness program, said chamber president Mahbubul Alam.
He also urged the business community to strictly adhere to government guidelines to prevent corona infection.
Since the outbreak of the Corona epidemic in March 2020, the Chamber has set up and operated Corona Sample Collection Booths in various parts of the city, selling consumer goods at subsidized prices by car to low-income people in different parts of the city.
