Even on the second day of the severe lockdown, people had to face the question of law enforcement whenever they come out on the streets of Chattogram city.

The army started searching various entrances of the city from Friday morning.

Although people go out for daily work from dawn, the movement of people decreases as the day progresses.

The Army has 6 teams working in the City Corporation area.  Besides, 6 BGB teams are patrolling the city.  There are also police in the field.  Twelve executive magistrates of the district administration have been on duty since this morning.  Executive Officers (UNOs) and Assistant Commissioners (Lands) are in charge at the upazila level.

On the first day of the lockdown, Chattogram district administration conducted a mobile court and imposed a fine of Tk 14,000 in 37 cases.

Chattogram District Administration Executive Magistrate Omar Faruq said, "Our executive magistrates have been on the ground since morning to implement the strict lockdown."  Action is being taken only if the rules and regulations are violated.
