Presidency University began its much-anticipated "CSE Fest 2024" on 17th November, marking a five-day celebration of innovation, creativity, and academic excellence. Organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with support from the School of Science and Engineering, the event celebrates 21 years of the department’s success and welcomes new students with an array of exciting programs.
The fest features activities designed to inspire and engage students, including a Programming Contest, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Contest, Robotics Workshop, Industry Talks, and various competitions such as quizzes, photography, story writing, indoor and outdoor games, and an Inter-University Poster Presentation. A Teachers vs. Students Cricket Tournament
has also added a thrilling competitive edge to the event.
The inaugural program on 17th November was graced by Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan, Dean of the School of Engineering, as the chief guest. Registrar Md. Sakir Hossain attended as the guest of honor, while Principal Advisor Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Kabir delivered an inspiring address. Faculty members and students worked tirelessly to ensure the event's smooth commencement.
The first day kicked off with workshops and competitions hosted by the AI Club, drawing enthusiastic participation from attendees. Highlights included hands-on robotics demonstrations and guidance from faculty members. The day concluded with applause and excitement, setting the tone for the rest of the fest.
Renowned academic figures, including Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad, will join the subsequent days to share insights on research and success stories, while Prof. Dr. Farzana Alam will discuss humanity-driven engineering education and its potential to shape Bangladesh's future.
The grand finale on 21st November will feature a fresher’s reception and a cultural show, ensuring a memorable conclusion to this vibrant celebration of knowledge and creativity.
