Crash prog launched in Ctg to kill mosquitoes

Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) has taken crash programe to kill mosquitoes, said City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin. He said this while launching a mosque eradication program on Friday at Maheshkhal area in the port city. 

AJM Nasir Uddin said there was a possibility of dengue outbreak at this time. So the CCC has taken the programme to kill mosquitoes for preventing Chikungunya and Dengue. In this crash program, medications will be sprayed at mosquito breeding sites, including shrubs, drains, and drains per ward.

He said the program involves the removal of adulticide and larvicidal drugs for the destruction of adult mosquitoes and mosquito larvae. He urged the mayor to help the staff in this task. Nasir suggested seeking medical treatment at CCC General Hospital, Charity Hospital, Urban Health Center and Government Hospital if any fever or dengue symptoms appeared.

Mosque eradication activities were conducted in the area adjacent to Mahesh Canal along with the police line Culvert Road, Old Road, Brickfield Road, Agrabad CDA Colony Ward Office at No. 27 Agrabad ward on Friday.

Councilor HM Sohail, Mayor's personal secretary Mohammad Abul Hashem, CCC Chief Cleaning Officer Safikul Mannan Siddiqui, CCC Engineer Sudip Basak, Additional Chief Clean Officer Morshed Alam Chowdhury were present.
