Inter-Divisional Football Tournament-2023 organised by Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) Sports Association was held on Monday at Shaheed Engineer Shamsuzzaman Stadium in Chattogram.
Security division won the title by beating Transport Department 3-2 in a tie breaker. A total of 28 matches were held in this tournament, which started on July 10, in a very orderly and festive atmosphere.
The runner-up of the tournament is the transport department and the fair play winner is the team comprising administration, secretary, planning and treasury departments.
Security department player Mahbubur Rahman Sabuj won the golden boot as the highest goal scorer of the tournament and transport department goalkeeper Tanvir Reza won the Golden Gloves as the best goalkeeper. Special awards were given to 9 senior players for outstanding performance in the game.
CPA Member Engineering Commodore Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman was present as the chief guest in the event and enjoyed the final game and distributed the prizes in the closing ceremony.
CPA Sports Association President and Director (Administration) Md. Mominur Rashid (Deputy Secretary), Director (Security) Lt. Col. Mostafa Arif-ur Rahman Khan, CPA Sports Association Vice President and Secretary Md. Omar Faruq and CPA Sports Association were present on the occasion. General Secretary and Chief Personnel Officer Md. Nasir Uddin along with other officers and leaders of Chattogram Port Employees Parishad.
