Cox's Bazar district police have started public awareness work to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to implement the government's 18-point directive. A team of district police led by Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Hasanuzzaman PPM distributed leaflets at several places, including Kalatli junction in Cox's Bazar, on Thursday afternoon. The goal of police is to make people aware of the need to comply with hygiene rules and implement the government's 16 points.

The police team also worked to ensure the transport of passengers by leaving half the seats vacant in public transport. Stickers with special slogans were affixed to cars.

Cox's Bazar Additional Deputy Commissioner Amin Al Parvez and Additional Superintendent of Police Rafiqul Islam were present on the occasion. Later, District Superintendent of Police Hasanuzzaman PPM met with all the transport owners and workers of Cox's Bazar district to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in the conference room of Cox's Bazar District Police Line. He during the meeting urged the transport owners and workers to follow the instructions of the government.
