Bangladesh registered zero deaths from Covid-19 yet again in 24 hours till 8am Thursday. The total number of deaths remains at 29,118.
A total of six deaths were reported in the last 10 days which included seven days with no deaths
The country recorded 92 new infections in the meantime taking the total number of people infected to 1,951,072, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday.
In the 24 hrs, current positivity rate dropped to the lowest in two years with 0.76 percent and the overall positivity rate stands at 14.18 percent. Previously, on March 30 2020, the infection rate was 0.65 percent.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.49 percent in the country, added the release.
Experts believe that the relentless vaccination campaigns conducted at regular intervals played a huge role in bringing down the impact of the deadly virus.
According to them, the country has reached a systematic result due to the efforts of all in tackling the deadly virus. A total of 12,111 samples were tested across the country till 8am Thursday.
Some 1,114 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,878,880 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 96.09 percent.
As of Thursday, 6,129,846 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 476,707,125 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
