Covid infection rate increases in Kishoreganj

In Kishoreganj, the death toll is increasing day by day. Although the fear works of Covid-19 in the conscious community, this fear is not seen in public. The district administration and the police administration are working relentlessly to raise awareness among the general people.

 Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Principal Dr. Nazrul Islam said that the PCR machine, which had been out of order since July 8th, was reopened on Monday. As a result, Covid-19 sample testing will increase and it will be possible to report at the right time, he mentioned.

A total of 126 people have been reported dead by Covid-19 so far. Covid-19 has been identified in the bodies of 124 people by examining 411 new samples in the district. So far, a total of 7508 people have been diagnosed with the virus infection in the district. 5 persons died in last week.

Among the newly identified, 38 patients are from Kishoreganj Sadar, 07 from Hossainpur, 02 from Karimganj, 06 from Pakundia, 25 from Katiadi, 10 from Kuliarchar, 22 from Bhairab, 10 from Bajitpur, 03 from Itna and 01 from Mithamoin. So far, a total of 5906 people have recovered and 126 died. Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman has confirmed the matter on Sunday night.

The total number of reported Covid-19 cases in different upazilas have been increased rapidly.  3392 from Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila, 185 from Hossainpur Upazila, 302 from Karimganj Upazila, 229 from Tarail Upazila, 411 from Pakundia Upazila, 551 from Katiadi Upazila, 289 from Kuliarchar Upazila, 1385 from Bhairab Upazila, 91 from Nikli Upazila, 472 from Bajitpur Upazila, 76 in from Upazila, 78 from Mithamoin Upazila and 47 from Austagram Upazila have been reported to be Covid-19 positive.
