The Covid-19 positive cases have reached 107,817 in the division as 297 more new cases were detected in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Thursday, reports BSS.
“We received 1,365 samples in Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMC) and other samples in Jashore and Kushtia laboratories in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning today, and 297 persons have diagnosed with Covid-19 infection," Assistant Director (Health) of Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akhter told BSS on Thursday afternoon.
Among the newly detected 297 Covid-19 patients, 65 are in Khulna, 54 in Kushtia, 42 in Jashore, 30 in Jhenidah, 29 in Magura, 21 in Bagerhat, 18 in Satkhira, 17 in Narail, 11 in Chuadanga and 10 in Meherpur districts in the division.
Meanwhile, a total of 94,971 have been cured from Coronavirus infections, as 97,102 more people were discharged from Corona Dedicated Hospitals in all 10 districts.
The death toll from the virus reached 2,961 after seven fatalities were reported in the division in the last 24 hours, Dr. Ferdousi said.
Among the new seven deaths, two each in Khulna and Kushtia and one each in Magura, Meherpur and Narail districts in the division.
