Covid-19 test begins at temporary isolation centre in DNCC Market

Under the overall administrative supervision of the Armed Forces and with the support of the Department of Health, the proposed Corona Isolation Centre/ Hospital at Mohakhali DNCC Market has started the Covid-19 test for expatriates from Monday 2020. 

The activities are being conducted by setting up a total of 20 booths. Separate sample collection booths have been set up for senior citizens, women and foreign nationals.

Every day from 10 am to 4 pm, samples will be collected 72 hours before departure and report will be provided within 24 hours. Overseas passengers will be able to collect their reports from 2pm to 5pm the day after the sample is submitted. S

ample collection booths will also be open during the upcoming Eid holidays. 

The collected samples will be tested by Institute of Public Health, National Institute of Preventive & Social Medicine and National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre. 

The government has fixed Tk 3535 for sample test fee. Samples of approximately 1000 foreign passengers will be collected daily in the established booths.

It may be mentioned here that under the overall supervision of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, work is underway to set up a temporary Corona Isolation Centre / Hospital at DNCC Market in Mohakhali, which will be launched as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
