The average recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has crossed 95.11 percent mark in the district.
Health officials said the number of positive cases decreases amid declining positivity rate and rising recovery rate of infected patients as the spread of the deadly virus is declining day by day.
The number of recovered Covid-19 patients reached 1,20,397 with the recovery of 426 more people till Sunday morning, raising the average recovery rate to 95.11 percent in the district, Dr Ilias Chowdhury, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS on Sunday.
A total of 10 people were detected positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours after testing 544 samples at 14 Covid-19 laboratories in the city and district.
The infection rate of the lethal virus is 1.84 percent till this morning.
Meanwhile, the total number of casualties remained steady at 1,362 in the district as no new death was reported during the past 24
hours ending at 8am Sunday.
The total number of Covid-19 patients climbed to 126,594 in the district after detecting 10 new patients, the health official mentioned.
A total of 121 infected patients are now undergoing treatment at different designated hospitals here, he added.
