‘Covid-19 opens new door in medical sector’

Chairman of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation and Chairman of executive committee of Islami Bank Limited Prof Dr Md Salim Uddin has said that Bangladesh has achieved unprecedented success in several sectors including reducing maternal and infant mortality rate. “Though there has been slight fall in achieving desired target due to Covid-19, it has uncovered door of new possibilities in medical sector utilization of which will fetch expected result. Adequate money allocation is urgent in research of the country’s doctors and researchers inspiring them in necessary research sectors,” he added. 

He said these while presenting the main article in a direct virtual webinar titled ‘SDG-3 Good health and well being’ initiated by SDG Youth Forum, says a press release issued on Saturday. 

MP from Sirajganj-2 constituency Prof Dr Md Habibe Millat was connected as the chief guest in the webinar. Presided over by president of SDG Youth Forum Noman Ullah Bahar and hosted by Assistant Professor of Asian University for Women Dr.  Sharin Shahjahan Naomi, the webinar was directly broadcasted from SDG Youth Forum Facebook page on February 1.
