Covid-19 jabs for nomadic people in Noakhali

In order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, vaccination program has been inaugurated in Noakhali for bus operators, CNG workers, bedes and the fishing community. In the first phase, one dose of Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be given to 1000 nomadic people. The vaccination program was inaugurated at the Sonapur bus stand on Wednesday, said the mayor of Noakhali municipality Md. Shahid Ullah Khan Sohail. According to the District Civil Surgeon's Office, only one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine will be given. They will not need any more doses later. Six health workers work in two booths for vaccination activities. The program started at 9 am and continued till 3 pm.

District Civil Surgeon Dr. Masum Iftekhar said that the floating population who are unable to go to the permanent immunization center regularly due to their busy schedule are being given one dose of Johnson and Johnson vaccine. The vaccination program will continue till February 26. Speaking as the chief guest, the mayor said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the vaccination program in Bangladesh before any other country in the world at a time when people's lives were being disrupted due to coronavirus infection. At present most of the people in the country are covered by the vaccine. So my request to everyone is that you take the vaccine yourself as well as bring the people around you to vaccinate. Everyone can get this vaccine from 12 years.
