Antigen test, the fastest way to diagnose Corona virus was launched at the 100-bed Munshiganj Sadar Hospital on Saturday noon.
Health Minister Dr Zahid Maleque inaugurated the antigen test facility at the hospital along with 9 other district at the time via video conference. Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Kalam Azad was present during the video conference.
It is known that the fastest method of detecting corona virus is antigen test. In this method, the result will be available in just 15 to 20 minutes.
A team has already been formed to complete the antigen test with a medical officer, medical technologist and a statistician of the hospital. The antigen test will reduce the pressure on the PCR lab.
In this regard, Munshiganj Civil Surgeon Dr. Abul Kalam Azad said, through the antigen test, people of Munshiganj will be able to test their corona samples very easily. Patients will be tested every day from 9 am to 1pm. Five hundred kits have already arrived for the test.
