In an exceptional verdict of the case of cutting loaves instead of cake in observance of  the Birth Anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by 11 teachers and staff or Boalia Bourtola Dhakhil Madrasha under Gomastapur upazila of Chapainawabganj district, the learned Judge Ziaur Rahman of Rajshahi Cyber Tribunal awarded two of the teachers including the Superintendent of the Madrasha Abdus Salam

(55) and Golam Kabir the punishment of reading books about the Liberation War of Bangladesh and ordered to follow five terms and conditions during their probation period.

Violation of the terms and condition will be awarded by one year of Rigorous Imprisonment and a fine of Taka 100,000 each, in default, to serve two-month more of RI, the court ordered. However, the court acquitted nine other accused of the case.

The terms and conditions to be followed by the punished teachers are:  The accused should not be engaged in any sort of criminal activities or should not do any crime; they should read about the glorious History of the Liberation War and should inform other teachers, colleagues and students about the history; when called, they should appear to the court or to the authorities of Law Enforcement Agencies; They should study three books-' Asomato Atmojibonee' (Unfinished autobiography), 'Karagarer Rojnamcha' ( Diary of the Jail) and ' Amar Dekha Naya Chin (The new China, as I watched). Ekattorer Chithi' ( Letters of '71) and written by  Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,  two more books ' Ekattorer Dingulo' by Jahanara Imam and the 'Ekattorer Chithi' and each accused should plant 10 saplings of trees each.

An official from the Department of Social Service would supervise the activities of the Probation Period by those two teachers and would submit a report to the court after every three-month period. If the Probation Period activities are satisfactory, there will be no adverse impact on their jobs. The court further mentioned in the verdict that both the accused are honoured Madrasha teachers. They did not have any previous criminal record and they were also unaware of the abuse of Information-Technology. If the teachers are punished, the normal activities of the Madrasha will be hampered. So, it was necessary to give an opportunity to two teachers to learn about the Father of the Nation so that they can inform their colleagues about the contribution of Bangabandhu. That is why, two teachers have not been punished and have been asked to observe a probation period.
