A farmer and his wife were killed with sharp weapons by some persons at village Gobindapur in Damurhuda upazial of Chuadanga district on October 4 evening.
The deceased are Yar Ali Mollah, 55, son of Hibat Mollha and his wife Rozina Khatun, 45 of village Gobindapur in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.
According to villagers and police, daughter of Yar Ali Mollah rushed at deceased house at the evening on the day, found the bodies of her mother and father lying on the floor. On information Police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies and sent the bodies to Chuadanga hospital morgue for postmortem. A case was filed with Damurhuda police station. Police investigation is going on. Ferdousi Khatun, second wife of Yar Ali Mollah, was taken police custody for interrogation about the incident.
Abu Naser, ASP of Chuadanga along with Abdul Khaleque, OC of Damurhuda police station visited the incident place for taking in future actions.
Jahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police said motive of the killing could not know till now, but police are trying to identify causes of killing. A sharp weapon ( so called `Heso’) has been recovered from the incident place. Police has started the investigation on killing.
