Police have arrested a man and his wife along with 12 grams of heroin from Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district.
The arrested were Ashraful Sheikh, 40, and his wife Shefali Khatun, 34, residents of Daulatdia Bazar area in the upazila.
Pranbandhu Bishwas, officer-in-charge of Goalanda Ghat Police Station, confirmed the matter with a press release on Sunday afternoon.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from the police station conducted a drive in Daulatdia Bazar area and caught the couple red-handed along with 12 grams of heroin, according to the press release.
The arrested were sent to Rajbari court after filing a case against them under the Narcotics Control Act in this regard, it added.
