A young couple were found dead at Burirbazar area in Ashuliya of Savar, on the outskirts of capital city, on Friday morning. The bodies were sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
The deceased were identified as Parvez Paik, 30, son of Mostafa Paik, hailed from Bishnopur area in Sadar Police Station of Bagerhat district, and his wife Sadia Akter, 23, daughter of late Manu Miya, hailed from Noihati area in Rupsha Police Station of Khulna.
Rejaul Haque Dipu, Officer-in-Charge of Ashulia Police Station, confirmed the matter.
Mazeda Begum, mother of Parvez Paik, said that there was a little quarrel between Parvez and his mother about to go to in-law house on Thursday night. Later, she found their bodies as hanging at their own room on Friday morning.
OC Rejaul Haque Dipu said that on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies in hanging condition from their own rented room. A case was filed with Ashulia Police Station in this regard. The OC said that they are investigating matter.
