‘Mobile Mother and Child Clinic’, a mobile medical clinic designed and manufactured to provide health care services to women and children during pregnancy, childbirth and the postnatal period, began journey in Bangladesh.
The country's first ‘Mobile Mother and Child Clinic’ has started its journey in Rangpur to provide healthcare service at the field level.
Moving from village to village, the mobile clinic equipped with ultramodern machinery and equipment will provide high-quality modern health services along with increasing social awareness and encouragement for normal delivery of pregnant mothers.
Under the initiative of Rangpur Community Medical College Hospital (RCMCH), the 'Mobile Mother and Child Clinic' was inaugurated in a function held at the RCMCH premises in the Medical East Gate area of the metropolis on Monday afternoon.
On the occasion, a discussion was held with Rangpur Group Managing Director Md. Nazmul Ahasan Sarker in the chair.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Md Hasibul Hasan Rumi attended the event as the chief guest while Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mostafa Zaman Chowdhury spoke as a special guest.
Head of the Normal Delivery Unit of RCMCH Assistant Professor Dr Mitali Bhattacharya, Head of the Gynecology Department Professor Dr Anisa Begum, and former Head of the Gynecology Department Professor Dr. Aziza Begum Lucy also spoke.
Rangpur Group Additional Director Md Merazul Mohsin delivered the welcome speech and narrated different aspects of the newly launched 'Mobile Mother and Child Clinic'.
He said RCMCH (Doctors Community Hospital Pvt. Ltd.), known as the most modern hospital in North Bengal, launched the first ever "Mobile Mother and Child Clinic" in Bangladesh.
"Skilled gynecologists and nurses are in the mobile clinic to provide the highest medical services free of charge in rural and remote areas. There is a high-tech mobile ultra-sonogram machine and a comfortable wide cabin for normal delivery," he said.
"There is also a skilled pediatrician for the health protection of newborns. Besides, there are all the necessary facilities for the fastest diagnosis, highest treatment and best services for patients in the mobile clinic," he added.
