CoUJA celebrates founding anniversary

The Comilla University Journalists’ Association (CoUJA) celebrated its 6th founding anniversary on Tuesday.

Comilla University vice chancellor Professor Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury inaugurated the celebration at 12:00pm bringing out a procession from in front of the Bangabandhu sculpture basement which, walking through difference streets of the campus, ended in front of the university administration building. Later, VC Emran Kabir Chowdhury joined a discussion programme at the university's virtual classroom as the chief guest while Abul Kalam Azad, former press secretary of prime minister Sheikh Hasina and chief editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha and Saiful Alam, President of Jatiya Press Club and editor of the Daily Jugantar were attended as the keynote speakers. Where special guests were Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Taher, register Comilla University, prof. Dr. G M Moniruzzaman & Belal Hussain. They were present  chaired by Md. Jahidul Islam, President of CoUJA. 

They, while speaking, shed light on the development journalism in the upcoming days. Teachers, students, officers  and journalists, among others, participated the programme. Later, certificates were distributed among a photography contest winners, organised by the journalist’s association.
