Professor Dr AFM. Abdul Moyeen on Sunday has been appointed as the vice-chancellor of Comilla University for four years.
A gazette notification, signed by Md Mahmudul Alam, deputy secretary of the education ministry, was issued on January 16 in this regard.
The current vice chancellor Professor Dr Emran Kabir Chowdhury's tenure will be expired on January 30. According to the gazette, the appointment of Professor Moyeen will be effective from January 31st or onwards.
Abdul Moyeen is the professor at Management department of the Dhaka University. He will be the seventh VC of Comilla University.
