A booth to collect samples for coronavirus testing has been set up at the National Press Club in Dhaka for the journalists.
The Press Club and the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) jointly took the initiative, said a statement on Tuesday.
Members of the Press Club and the DUJ and their family members who suspect to have coronavirus can provide their samples in the booth.
They have been asked to register prior to visit the booth which will remain open all the days except Friday from 10am to 1pm.
Press Club President Saiful Alam, Joint Secretary Mainul Alam, DUJ President Quddus Afrad and General Secretary Sajjad Alam Khan Topu were present at the inauguration.
For registration, members have been asked to contact Mainul Alam and DUJ leaders – organizing secretary A Zihadur Rahman Zihad, public welfare secretary Shohely Chowdhury, office secretary Jannatul Ferdous Chowdhury and executive member Raju Hamid.
