A coronavirus infected patient at Priganj upazila of Thakurgaon was recovered from the disease completely and returned home on Wednesday. Dr Mahfuzar Rahman, Civil Surgeon of Thakurgaon, confirmed the matter on Thursday.
With the recovery of the patient, now six persons being attacked with corona are under treatment in the district. Civil Surgeon Dr Rahman further informed, on April-11, Coronavirus was detected in the body of a 22-year aged young man of Bhabanipur village under Saidpur union of Pirganj upazila. He was admitted to the isolation ward of Pirganj Upazila Health Complex and was treated by the doctors.
Later, on April-17, the samples from the body of the man were procured and sent it to Rangpur Medical College Corona testing Laboratory and after testing, the result was found negative. As a result, the patient was released from the isolation ward and was sent home. Health Department Officials have put the patient under observation at the home quarantine.
Civil Surgeon mentioned samples of the recovered patient have been collected for the third time and sent to RnMC for testing. None of five members of the family of the recovered patient was seen to bear Coronavirus in the body.
